The Museum of Anthropology maintains contractual relationships with Federal agencies for curation of archaeological collections that result from federally funded projects.
Museum staff prepare the archaeological collections that result from these assessments, which are then housed in the Museum’s Archaeological Repository.
Collections for the following four sites highlighted here are under the supervision of the Walla Walla District Office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers:
- The Marmes Rockshelter Site (45FR50)
- Granite Point (45WT41)
- Wexpusnime (45GA61)
- Squirt Cave (45WW25)
The Lind Coulee Site (45GR97) is supervised by the Columbia-Cascades Area Office of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in Yakima, Washington.
The repository also includes collections supervised by the Spokane District Office of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
Information on collections supervised by the Utah State BLM and the Colville National Forest will be available on this web site soon.
